A needle valve is a great device to accurately control gas and liquid flow and pressure. By spinning a wheel or handle, you can move the internal plunger (the ‘needle’) up or down to gradually regulate the flow – from ‘off’ to maximum. Therefore, needle valves are highly recommended for protecting delicate gauges in pipework from damage caused by pressure surges. Needle valves are mainly used in low-pressure gas and liquid systems and where throttle service is needed.
